it seems they are either going back to their roots and are going to continue the series after HD or they are juts going to release the old games in HD then close the game off for good.

thoughts?

I'm hoping continue. But what could be done is if they realize the ratings are better than Ride/Shred which will most likly happen anyways, then they may continue. but i'd like to see a THUG & THUG2 HD Mashup ;D

Hey guys, I'm from the leftover thps community, the one that kept going when activision/neversoft removed the motd and killed most players (ps2/pc) ways of getting online. Anyways I don't want to linger on the past so ill cut right to the chase

the site thpshd.com is thpsX, a new community website by a few players to give more spotlight on the dying thps community that stayed loyal even with the long list of dissapointing games that were released. Now that thpsHD has been announced, i feel that it is the time to spam the thps community everywhere so that new potential players may also get familiar with the existing community and even bust out a few old games like underground/underground 2, american wasteland and even thps3 which all have decent activity online, this post might take a while to read so if you guys want to jump at the bottom i will provide everyone with a few links to the main thps community websites so you guys can visit them if you want, i'll also provide with a few youtube channels of really good teams, please note that we do not aim for realistic gameplay so some of you might not like it.

First of all here is a few games that have decent activity
1. American wasteland (PC) - ~2000-3000 players mostly european, no need for mods to connect
2. American wasteland (PS2) - ~ 200 players (i don't play ps2 so i wouldn't really know)
* To get on PS2 games please refer to THPS.US or PHUNONLINE.COM to ask them how to get online
3. Underground 2 (PC) - ~300-400 players around the world, use a mod from THMODS.COM to get online and NG-THPS.COM for help
4. Underground 1 (PS2) - ~200-300 players around the world,
* To get on PS2 games please refer to THPS.US or PHUNONLINE.COM to ask them how to get online
5. Proskater 3 (PC) - 150-200 players mostly european, refer to the website CHAPTER-3.NET for instructions

In the game i play (THUG2 mostly) Modders are adding a complete level editor allowing to edit existing levels, adding halfpipes and such like in the create a park editor plus fun stuff like vehicle slap and racing in thug2, here are 2 videos to explain what i mean

Third here is a few youtube links to some decent channels

http://youtube.com/thpsnomanuals
http://youtube.com/muhcrew
http://youtube.com/illcompanythps
http://youtube.com/thpsgames

Finally here are a few websites of the community
http://thpshd.com ps2 and pc and xbox
http://ng-thps.com pc
http://phunonline.com ps2 and pc
http://tscrew.de pc
http://thps.us ps2
http://chapter-3.net pc

Why make this huge block post? To get more popularity in the thps community; I hope not all of you hate the post i just made, may thpshd be actually fun for a change :)

They should just release all the old TH games in HD since they were the best ones

^ only chance the series has imo.. just got way out of hand. Also difficult to keep skating games going with new features.
