Mario Kart 8 on Zelda timeline?

In Mk8 there is the master cycle and link in botw there's the master cycle zero, and the tunic of the wild is very simular, so my theory is the sheikahs saw the cycle and wanted to make a better model, and Link heard of racing in a far off country.
