Marcus Smart declares for 2014 NBA Draft

Not surprised at the announcement, but is it a smart move (no pun intended) to announce it now?

For a guy like Smart I don't think it matters that he announced now. Everybody assumed he would leave last year and everyone would have assumed the same this year. Also even if he's 100% made up his mind, it's not like he's committed to leaving just by making this statement.

Seems kinda pointless. As stated above everybody already assumes he is leaving at this point and since it is almost a year away before he needs to make a decision its possible it could change.

Most were expecting him to declare for the 2013 draft so it's no surprise he's declaring for next year's draft.
