Is Dragonball super really any good?

Been a dbz fan since I was a kid. Also love Dragonball. Thought GT was decent but meh.. Never really enjoyed any of the dbz movies however. How does Dragonball super (English dub) compare with dbz? Is it really any good/worth watching (like.. legitimately good??) Or is it even worse than GT?

Blatant fan fiction. It has some fun parts, but overall it's very inconsistent and just not that good.
