i've been attacking this thing for 15 minutes and it won't go down. i quit and rebooted- same thing. wtf am i supposed to do?? i want to play through this game.

that claw thing that can reach out and grab your enemies and other nefty stuff. use it, grab the ball on top of it. First ya have to beat it up a lit.
