i support this idea, and wish something like this would get stickied.

So Fable is like the best game ever and Shaun of the Dead is one of the best movies this year. Discuss.

Shaun of the Dead was quite entertaining. Haven't got a chance to play Fable yet but X-Men legends is cool.

Good idea. I'm suprised that there hasn't been one yet. Is anyone looking forward to The Machinist? Christian Bale had to lose like 60lbs for the role. It looks great.

Fable disappointed me. I beat it in like 12 hours. I mean I plan on playing through again as evil but it was just too short for a game in development for like 5 years.

Shaun of the Dead was freakin awesome.

I just got KOTOR for the PC, that game is bad ass so far. So is Rome-Total War.

I played KOTOR all last summer on XBox. That game was more Star Wars than the any prequal movie was, it was mind-blowing.

I hella wanna see the Machinest. It just looks so freakin loopy. I'm also hella jonsing to see I <3 Huckabees, but Vegas is always the last place to get any gradual release movie.

EDIT: Saw Sky Captain last night. That was pretty cool, felt like I was watching some Flash Gordon serial movie. Also HELLA reminded me of Crimson Skies.

I'm not sure Mullet could have possibly used the word "hella" more times in his last post than he did. Anyways, I, too, want to see SotD. I just saw Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind last night; that was a crazy movie, but I liked it a lot. Tis all for now.

Hella has been around since the mid-90's, so I doubt it qualifies as "internet-slang".

Sky Captain was indeed good. Cheesy and predictable, but I sat there through the whole movie with a huge grin on my face. It was great.

I never played KOTOR before, so this is like the first time. Its bad-ass.

Yeah I've been saying hella forever now. Before I was e-competent

I can't remember that damn robots name from KOTOR. The one that says flesh bag a lot. Either way, I'd make sweet love to that robot.

And, I believe that tits > pants.

I'm going to the Queen rock musical comedy "We Will Rock You" today at 9pm. If it doesn't rock me all sorts of giddy, I'll be disappointed

My only problem with Sky Captain was there wasn't enough backstory about the robot inventor dude. But it was fast-paced and worth my $6 so why am I complaining?

^ Yeah, you ge that final revalation, but then theres still some time between the revalation to what is currently happening that you just kinda assume what happened.

But yeah, like everyone said, this wasn't exactly an intellectual adventure movie. It was just a fun action/adventure thing. Keep in mind that I also think Jude Law is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Im wondering if the Bouncing Souls are worth a 3 hour drive to go see live. I haven't seen a show in like 4 months and I need to. There's nothing else for awhile either, except Matchbook Romance, if you can count that crap.

Whoa Bad Brains is friggin' amazing! I have been addicted to I Against I, and pretty soon I am going to start listening to Black Dots. What are some other good albums by this band?

I don't care for community threads myself. I"ll be watching this thread. If I a lot of TOS violation, that includes spam, the thread is gone.

Hah.

My boss and I were drinking Skrewdrivers tonight at the grocery store.

God that ruled.

She's hot, too.

i don't see what the big deal about a single community thread is. I think its better than just having the random OT thread that gets made when someone's sitting atound board. Plus its nice to discuss different things with my fellow IGNPBers.

I thought Fable was good, but not great. I'm playing through again as an evil character, but I'm thinking I might just trade it in without bothering.

Shaun of the Dead was A+ great. Very well done, can't wait for the DVD, and I may see it again at the theater I liked it so much.

KOTOR - I never beat that game. I'll have to go back to it. If memory serves correctly the attributes I were building up proved to be nearly worthless against the last boss. This one I will play through again as an evil character eventually.

October rules because of all the horror movies. The Grudge looks like it has potential, Saw is rated fresh at RT, The Machinest looks like it has potential too. Plus all the movies on cable in the next few weeks will keep my Tivo busy.

Ah, Tivo. The single greatest invention that man has created. Well besides beer, punk rock and lingerie.

I don't have TiVo but I pay like 5 bucks extra a month for a TiVO like service from my cable provider. Its just called DVR instead. But its absolutely great. Especially those nights when I'm too tired to stay up for late night softcore porn. I can just record it, get my sleep and enjoy in the morning! Plus I can finally watch Scrubs.

Yeah, I hate RPGs where you can build your character however you want, but only one or two builds can beat the game. That always pisses me off.

That's why i loved Fallout 1 / 2 so much. Because you could beat the game numerous ways, and so a non-combat character could beat the game just as easily as a full-out warrior.

My top two RPGs of all time: Diablo II and Final Fantasy VII.

EDIT: Hey guys, check out this flyer a friend of mine drew up for some bands earlier this year.

[image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v226/drew_dizzle/100_0761.jpg]

He drew it all free-hand without a picture.

The Machinest is being released 10/22 same as the Grudge, but its only a limited release. Not sure when it gets a national release.

I would like to see Ju-On first too, but I'm gonna have to wait until November for the region one DVD release, so I'll see the American version first.

You shouldn't use Calvin & Hobbes to advertise bands. Thats a real sore point for me, I don't even think IGN should use them as icons. It did look sharp though.

Best RPG? Chrono Trigger - nothing else is even close that I've played.

i really don't like the music general boards.

EDIT: I did actually click the link, I just saw that it was the music general boards and thought the world would be a better place knowing that I don't like that board.

everytime I've lurked on the boards I just get frustrated but the amount of people that listen to music that I would deem as "crap." Selfish isn't the word but something along those lines. Either way, I could never see myself making any form of legit convo with 90% of the people at the MGB.

The MGB is filled with pretentious a-holes who listen to more obscure musak than you, so they're obviously better. And if you don't like Pink Floyd / The Beatles / Radiohead, then you obviously know nothing about music.
