Champs league has been shrinking. I do not believe we have the membership for two tiers anymore.

If you wanna play a single-season fantasy hockey with this community this season, speak here. Priority will be given to returning Tier 1's last year (and the promised promotees from Tier 2), then Tier 2s last year, then newbies.

If we get 14 or fewer people we will run one league.

Of we get 16 or more... we'll figure it out.

Also, time to get rid of GWG. I'm so embarrassed we still use it. And PIM should also be turfed, using a stat that means your player did something bad, shouldn't be used, especially if we can use face-offs or hits etc.

I saw someone mention (haven’t verified) that Yahoo has made hits instead of pims a default category this year.

I hate face offs as a category. Just puts a bizarre premium on players yahoo assigns winger eligibility despite playing center. And yahoo’s so wildly inconsistent about that it becomes a crapshoot.

I like getting rid of +- and gwg. adding shots is a no brainer I think. also should make sure we have ir+ instead of ir. think we were stuck with ir only last year.

In T2 we had IR+ because yahoo is inconsistent with injuries

Ted and @AnTi_HeRo6 earned top slots in T2 so should be assured of promotion (if Anti shows and speaks). After that... Ben and I were the other two in the top 4, both regular season and playoff (I had the better regular season record but he bested me in the bronze medal match).

We went to more-than-just-two-promotes-and-demotes a couple years ago and I think that still works... which has me thinking:

If Anti shows:
Ted, Anti, Ben, and I up to T1
The bottom 3 finishers from T1 that aren't Molly down to T2 (and Molly presumably out).

If Anti doesn't show:
Ted, Ben, and I up to T1
The bottom 2 finishers from T1 that aren't Molly down to T2 (and Molly presumably out).

We can round out T2 with T1ers running secondary teams if necessary to get to at least 8 and even (ted has already volunteered this; I would too). Maybe even 10! If we do 8 again this year we should remember to make fewer than 8 teams in the playoffs! :)

Oh yeah....that brings up bad memories of last year's T1 standings. 5th, 6th, 7th all had 205 points and I had 204 in 8th place. [face_cry]

Thanks for the tag. I am currently in 2 keeper leagues and another 3 tiered 1 year league at Hockeyforums.net, but if I ever have another spot ill join in someday. 3 drafts and leagues to watch over is pretty much my limit lol

I just contacted BlackMolly on facebook. He apparently just renewed tier 1 and transferred commissionership to Husker. Husker, if you wanted to commission you can, but Ben has volunteered so you could invite him and then transfer to him if you'd prefer.

In the absence of a commissioner I just went by straight final ranking, and that wasn't smart. I didn't look to see that ewuoy actually had the exact same regular season record as the champion did! :) Leaving him in T1 and leaving myself in T2 instead. 'S'all good.

Has Husker transferred T1 to Ben yet?

Just book in some Sunday night drafts, commissioning people. We've been at this a lot of years, Sunday nights have generally proven to be least contentious.

Also lets make the swaps mentioned above: out with GWG and PIM, in with Shots and Hits.

And if we are gonna run T2 as an 8-er, make it a 4-team playoff.
