Post a jazz song for @PoorPigg




I think I covered the gamut, not sure what kinds she's into exactly so I've got a broad sample here. I grew up hearing Count Basie and Duke Ellington pretty often since my mom loved them though I've heard some people don't consider the old big band stuff to be true jazz.

I don't see how anyone could have expected anything else when clicking this thread tbh.

So many legends in this: Oscar Peterson and Count Basie. NHOP (the bass player all young bass players study) and Joe Pass who can play a full jazz ensemble on guitar by himself, also love his work with Ella

Great choices in Stan Getz and Michael Brecker.

Everyone should get a gander and a listen to 'Zero Gravity" the Wayne Shorter docu on Amazon Prime. The first time you see Mr Shorter playing it is Symphonic Jazz.
