How does Tournament work in MK8

Hi!

I'm a little confused about how Tournaments work in Mario Kart 8. I see people a the top of the rankings with 1000+ points. Do you basically just play as many races and get as many points as possible before the time is up on the tournament? That doesn't seem to involve skill, just a lot of time and races.

Hopefully you guys can shed some light on this.

Yes that's right. Some people do it because the communities are socially involved. I did it once. had like 10000+ pts. on mk7.

Others do it because of clans.
