How do I switch characters in Free Play?

I've completed all the Villain and Hero chapters, but cannot access any of the suits or characters while in Free Play. There isn't a "character selection" option anywhere (which was referenced in the Instruction Booklet). Does anyone have advice on how to access this?? Thanks!

Which platform are you playing the game on, as the method is obviously different for PC, XBox, Wii, etc...

I play on the Wii, and you can access character selection by holding down the 'C' button (on the nunchuck controller).

On Xbox hold in The "Y" button.

What you do is to hold the Triangle button on PS3 / Y button on XBOX 360, then use the left analog stick to select your character then let go and there you have it.
