Before anybody asks, I have permission from Homer to create this, since we have over 1,000 threads and I frequent here (I'm on the MU). For those of you who don't know what a community thread is, it's basically a thread where the regulars of a board can talk about off-topic stuff. The TOS still applies, though, so no spamming, swearing, etc. Otherwise, enjoy!

It's not 1,00 threads, it's 1,000 posts.

And it dosen't matter. The board isn't big enough for a CT. It has been tried many times before. They all fail.

But, go for it. I doubted the one in the PS2 lobby would survive and it has. :)

actually, it is 1,000 threads. But I also agree with genocide. I don't see it having much stay power. But best of luck to it!

Must have been changed sence last time I was on a board that needed... Wait wait, no.

I was thinking about how you need 1,000 posts to get a board official. Or whatever.

Either way, same thing applies. This board is fairly active but I don't think a CT is needed. Or that it would become anything more than a +1 depot.

How was everyone's day today? Mine was alright, personally, as I was sick yesterday and am still a little bit sick now.

Had a pretty easy day at work, now I'm going to have some fun with Freebird.

Anyone ever try playing the slide solos with just the one finger? Makes the first part a little more interesting, anyways.

I'm also starting to play Freebird, but I'm not too far. I've got the intro and the chords down, just started on the solo. I haven't started using the slide yet, I'm trying to perfect the song with just my fingers first, then use the slide.

Oh, and when I was talking about Freebird, I was talking about real guitar, because I assumed that you were too. Not sure if you were talking about Guitar Hero, though.

those of you that had school cancelled because of snow, where are you at? im in michigan right on lake superior and we haven't gotten much snow this winter, which is an awful disappointment.

Hey. I had to look through like 50 pages before I found this....


I won't be able to post here due to SmackDown! board Survivor starting 12:00am board time, but that only lasts 26 days. I would like to get this board more attention, especially with the new game coming out.

Yeah, I know that Myke has my back as well. And also I have a small agreement with Nathan.

But with 619-Dan; yesterday he offered me to be in an alliance with him, 3DGE, Mike and maybe Rocky, and he asked me not to tell anyone. Then today Nathan got a PM from him offering Nathan a spot in their small alliance. And I didn't get one. So I'm thinking that he is trying to play some people. And I wanted to see if he has done anything to you.

So we have an alliance, yeah?

Last year, I kept it simple and stuck to my tribe. I made sure Iva and Nathan stayed in as long as possible, seeing as they are my e-friends. Now this year, I will worry about myself mostly, but I won't compromise or lower my standards.....well not quite yet anyways. [face_tongue] You'll find that this contest will change as it goes on, and who you want to vote off, that will change. It is hard to find who you want to vote off, so I suggest you do your best, that is all I can tell you. Stay active, help with challenges, and don't **** up when it counts. You do that, and you should make it reasonably far. I'm not saying finals, but who knows how far you will get.

As far as people creating alliances, that is normal. So is the games people play, its all about being the winner, or to some it is. I'm in it to win it, but also to have fun. It brings you closer with the other board members, and adds a little credibility as well. I would watch your back though, D.T.A.(Don't Trust Anybody)

Just have fun and this contest will be a blast. Jake, I don't plan on voting you out any time soon. The first couple of votes will consist of inconsistency for me, the ones who aren't participating. Besides, keeping you in while extend my chances of making it further in the contest, as the same for you keeping me in.
