Glitch upon entering the Handmaiden academy on the polar plateau of Telos

When I enter the interior of the Telos polar region, I am able to engage in the cut-scene in which the Handmaidens tell me to drop the weapons and I oblige. After this cut-scene, my screen goes completely black. Therefore, I blindly click in the top right hand corner and pull up the load/save menu. I save my game in a new slot and then load from there. Once I load my game, the screen is back to normal and I walk down the ramp to speak to Atris. However, when I press the dialog icon to speak with her, nothing happens, I cant start the dialog with Atris no matter what I do. Can somebody tell me what is going on????
