finished king storyline, how do i stop bowerstone looking 'poor'?

did the evil deeds to secure our survival, can I now restore bowerstone back to it's former glory by putting gold in the treasury and waiting, or is all hope lost?

Personally, I went nearly all good, and still had plenty of money to save everyone. You just have to be really good at buying all the buildings and renting them out.
