Dog has gone missing

Pretty early in the game, just did the mission where you get captured and have to use mortar to keep away sect members until retreating on helicopter. Once it was over I can't find Boomer anywhere. Not on the map or back where I found him. Anyone else had this issue?

Yep, all you have to do is go into the roster menu and select the dog (Boomer) on left and cal him.
