A couple of logic problems here and there but otherwise not bad. This was probably my favorite Dalek since the Eccleston episode. Beating a Dalek with a microwave is silly but not the silliest way they've been beaten. I wasn't thrilled about UNIT getting sidelined for a Brexit joke, though.

On the B-plot side, we actually got some decent acting out of Ryan. Yaz is still the Nyssa and that sucks.

I suppose it wasn't awful, but it wasn't good. This season has just been... I think I'm just watching out of obligation at this point. The writing has been dissmal overall.

It took me a long time to be able to watch this episode but I did it yesterday. Thought it was entertaining, and it was nice that I couldn't predict it and it didn't feel cliched. I do miss the whacky christmas episodes from long ago. Perhaps those specials and their oddness was just a Russell T Davies thing.
