Creating player for Franchise Mode

Hey guys, I'm a rookie at this stuff. I'm trying to create a player for Franchise Mode. I know how to create the player, but how do I import him to the Franchise Mode free agent pool. I've tried it twice and he doesn't show up.

If I remember right in past games, not sure about this one, you have to just pick a team to put him on and use that team in franchise mode. Maybe someone has a better answer for you but try that and see if it works.
