Warner Brothers botched it. Cooper should've been Hal, and Reynolds should've been Wally.

All the rumors I've heard say it's Barry Allen, and not Wally West.

I agree gloftus. When I heard this rumor, while I like both actors and think the will be good (again if Cooper is cast as The Flash) I do believe that Cooper would have been a better fit for GL and Reynolds as The Flash. Its funny, as soon as a I read that rumor the other day thats the first thing I thought of and I was surprised and happy to see that many people had made the same comments at the end of the various articles.

My vote for Flash is Neil Patrick Harris.

I wish they could have switched this guy with Ryan Reynolds, not because I think either of them are bad actors, rather I think they both would have been a better fit for the others role.
