Considering Apple Arcade for a month or two

Perhaps misguidedly, I want to play Sonic Dream Team. I have an Apple TV and an iPad (no Mac).

1. What are some games that I should try out while I have the service? I'll try a variety of games, but if I don't *need* Apple Arcade for a game, I wouldn't bother playing it via the subscription.
2. How is controller support on the Apple TV? Are there any compatibility issues? Unless a touch-screen only game is genuinely compelling, I'd rather not use a touch screen to game on.
