Caterham F1 team in hot water?

was reading up on some wild news out of the F1 paddock. Apparently the Caterham team is in dire financial trouble to the point that their factory got raided this week by bailiffs who took one of the team's 2013 cars and other parts and machinery.

As much as it used to look dire for 2015, with this new issue, it may look like the team might not make it to the end of 2014....

I just read an article last week how Caterham was preparing for next season already and how they were fully committed. How quickly things can change.

It was reported during today's Russian Grand Prix that Caterham has asked their drivers not to crash their cars as they are running out of parts and supplies and one bad crash may force Caterham to park for the rest of the season.

how about Caterham parking Kamui simply because he wasn't racing against anyone and keeping the car on track would risk part failure or contact with cars lapping him.

Kamui's interview shows how done he is with the whole situation.

I hear Ecclestone is trying to save them for at least one more year. It doesn't make sense after he said he wants both Marussia and Caterham gone and give the remaining teams a third car.

On a side note, driving the Caterhams in F1 2014 the game is absolutely awful.

They're done. It wouldn't make any sense for anyone to buy the sinking ship that is Caterham and inherit all of their struggles.

Bernie has also given Marussia permission to miss the U.S. Grand Prix. It looks like only 18 cars will start and American reserve driver Alexander Rossi will miss out on another chance to finally start an F1 race. The guy just can't catch a break.

It appears British-Indians Baljinder Sohi and Sonny Kaushal are close to finalizing an agreement in purchasing the Marussia F1 Team.

Aaaand Marussia F1 team has folded. It looks like an agreement was made for the team to undergo new ownership as Manor F1, but the money never came. Caterham is still holding on by a thread...for now.

with all the trouble Caterham has been having, it's hilarious that Marussia has found a way to fold faster and quieter.

It looks like Caterham will race in Abu Dhabi. They've asked Andre Lotterer to drive for them and he declined. That's pretty bad on Caterham's part - for an F1 team to offer you a drive and you turn it down.

Marussia is set to auction off whatever is left soon this month. I didn't want to see them fold especially after scoring their first two points this season.
