I doubt their will be another. Sega own the IP, and even if they do decide to churn out a sequel, there is no guarantee that they'll use the same developer. As for the developer talking about wanting to make another, they always refer to a spin-off. Sega owning the IP would be the reason for them using the word spin-off.... in such interviews.
So, don't be surprised if a sequel happens to be what DMC2 was to DMC..... Which BTW, was also made by the same developer and where Capcom owned the IP and had other developers make the sequels.

I'm pretty sure Sega doesn't own the IP.
I believe Platinum games owns the IP and this is not the same development team that made DMC2. It has a lot of the same people but it is a different team all together.
