Steps to reproduce:
1. Open any image thread. Example:

2. Note that images stop loading before the thread fully loads. Also note that browsing to any page sees the 429 error.
Too many requests.png

Inspecting any image shows that the images are loading through an IGN proxy endpoint. This endpoint is subject to the same rate-limiting as other endpoints on the system, and any thread with a significant number of images, such as the above, will trigger the error and result in the site being temporarily unusable.

The previous thread was about the smilies. This is the first time I've seen it from an image thread.

It's from anything that causes multiple requests short succession. Images, smilies, or simply control-click (or middle-click) several threads to open them all in new tabs.

This is annoying. Every image posted via [img] tag is hosted on IGN's proxy and if there are more than 10-20 images in a thread, it would trigger the Error 429 Too many requests error.
