The newest Master of Orion is ok, but flawed. When the best parts are the Galactic News segments, I know I'm bored. I lke the formula, but it would be nice to have a fresh take somehow.

I miss Sins of a Solar Empire. Too bad that formula and game never got ironed out.

Endless Space 2 was a good game, did you try that?

Stellaris is also good but pretty hardcore like all Paradox titles.

Only tried the first Endless Space. Is 2 better?

Yes, 2 is a little better. I played it at launch as did @rastaban75 and some others. It's good and endlessly replayable, but I kind of lost interest after beating the campaign a first time.

Endless Space 2 was really good. You can play some of the more straightforward races because there are some with really weird game mechanics.

Stellaris I wouldn't recommend, the game is massive and extremely complex, while there are tons of DLCs that add stuff but also confusion.

I was looking to purchase Distant Worlds 2 recently but caught up in other games. It seems complex as well but it seems the audience is quite divided about it.

I checked Endless Space 2 out and it does look good. Can't decide whether or not to wait for a sale, though.

I find the formula that developer uses (Endless Legend, Humankind) is kind of fun but gets old.

I liked Galactic Civilizations 2 a lot. Building your own ships is awesome. I tried GalCiv3 in beta but didn't get into it.
