I don't really keep up with football anymore and haven't done this league in a few years.

what is ppr how is that different that when we've been doing

PPR is points-per-reception / points-per-rush. It makes it so that players get bonus points every single time they rush/receive, over and above the points awarded for the yardage earned. It tweaks the value of some players (third down running backs and tight ends, for instance, are more likely to have a low average yardage on plays they’re involved in - this boosts their value).

I think Yahoo’s default PPR is 0.5 - which is to say every single time your player touches the ball it’s like he got 5 extra yards. Carried for 2 yards? Scored like 7. Carried for 36? Scored like 41.

Point Per Reception.

Let's say Antonio Brown has a game where he catches the ball 11 times for 143 yards and 1 TD.

Normally he would have gotten 20.3 points (14.3 + 6). Add in PPR then he would get an extra 5.5 (if we do .5 per reception) or 11 points (1 point per)

It basically rewards big targets and slot guys like Edelman plus RBs who can catch the ball as well like Bell and White.

There's no bonus for rushing the football just receptions

Oh, huh. I saw some articles talk about it adding value to short yardage third down backs, who uusally just do one yard plunges. Hm, I stand corrected.

I'm assuming the value added would be more so the third down backs who can get out wide and catch a ball and hope to make one guy miss to get the first down like Sproles used to be rather than the big bruisers

Alright, I think that's an even number

Yup that will be 10. I added PPR at .5 per reception and Playoffs will be the top 4 teams

can we do the draft on the 5th? or after the thurs game, prior to sunday games?

really jammed for time re: work and hitting the road tomorrow, wondering if I need to pre-rank or not

I'm home late on the 3rd

If we do it after the season opener we will not be able to count Week 1

Oh Yahoo.

It now has me as a 95% favourite to win my week.

I lead by 9 points, my opponent has no player games remaining, and I have my RB1 left to play.

But apparently it is considered 5% likely that Barkley puts up negative nine points or worse. Like, five fumbles and less than ten yards rushing?

I think imma take my chances.

(What’s the worst negative score you’ve ever seen for any fantasy player in a week? I think the worst I’ve seen were two fumbles and yanked for like -3.9 ).
