The best thing I can say about Pokémon GO is that it introduced me to the Pokémon games. Also, it's helped me fill in some of my National Pokédex somewhat, so that's cool.

Pokemon Legends: ArceusBeat

I don't consider myself a gamer and I enjoy Pokémon partially because they are simple and easy to play. I did *not* like Arceus the first time I played it. I got frustrated by the controls and found being targeted by wild Pokémon stressful. I gave it up when I got to the 4th frenzied noble (Electrode).
Something made me pick it up again months later and give it another shot and this time I loved it! The controls began to feel very intuitive and I came to appreciate the game play/style. I got a little disheartened when, after putting a lot of time and effort into completing all Dex entries up to that point and reaching the 10th star rank, I got to the Arceus battle and wasn't getting anywhere close to beating it. I am not coordinated, and like I said, not a gamer (so I'm not used to non-turn-based battling). I had to put the game down for a while. After a week or so, I tried it again. I still couldn't beat it, but I did better. This gave me hope, and after a few more breaks and watching a strategy video online, I was able to beat it. It was so gratifying!
To anyone who likes Pokémon and hasn't played Arceus, or tried it and gave up, I would highly recommend giving it a shot (or another shot, as the case may be)!
What else you should know:
-I recommend turning on motion sensitivity (I just have mine at 1); it makes aiming so much better and natural, IMO
-You can complete the Pokédex on your own in this game, which is awesome! No trading or additional purchases necessary, and no limited time events
-IGN is a great source for help with finding all the wisps and Unown (it even lets you track which ones you've found, which is super helpful)
Sorry for the essay, thanks for reading. 🥔
