This has all the foundations of a deep modern RPG - customisation, choices, main storylines and quests. Mechanically, the game works well enough to be fun to modern audiences, enabling strategy with cover to cover third person shooting. While definitely clunky and dated in areas, this isn’t a game that is so old you can only play it once. It feels like the seed of what is now the great tree of story -driven RPGs (e.g. Cyberpunk 2077). Highly recommend
Re7 is a must play for any survival horror fan. Classic haunted house setup. Gameplay is extremely fitting - slow enough to allow you to make intentional decisions but keep a high intensity. The story is amazing, at least for the first half of the game (does dwindle a little bit). And it’s also really challenging, but manageable with time and persistence.
