Indeed, Sanzaru has been hard at work on Thieves in Time for a long while, and even ported the original PlayStation 2 Sly Cooper trilogy to PlayStation 3 back in 2010. It was known as The Sly Collection, an HD compilation we proudly gave an 8.5. And today on the PlayStation Blog, Sanzaru Games' President Glen Egan confirmed in a comment on his blog post there that The Sly Collection would be coming to the PlayStation Network as a digital download but not as a series of PS2 Classics.
In response to a user that asked if the original Sly games Sanzaru ported to PS3 would be available on PSN, Glen Egan responded with the following. "We are very excited to announce that the Sly Collection will be available from the PS Store on November 29th (Just 2 weeks!). And of course, all three titles feature trophy support, smooth 60 frames a second frame rate and they are all playable in 3D. You can purchase the Sly Collection for $29.99 or you can buy the individual titles for $9.99 each."
There's no word on if The Sly Collection is coming to other territories digitally as well, but we'll keep you posted with more information as it becomes available.
