I'm appreciative of Way's recurring attempts to treat the book with actual gravitas. It suggests this whole "Deadpool as a hero" plot is more than mere shtick. And while I'll probably never be a huge fan of Carlo Barberi's style, this is one of his better efforts on the series. He draws a mean Ghost Rider, and Marte Gracia's colors make the entire story feel vibrant and alive. I hope Way has more ambitious plans for upcoming issues. But that's not to say one-off adventures like this aren't enough to satisfy for a while.
