Although Twisted Metal was renewed by Peacock at the end of 2023, Season 2 won't begin filming until later this year. But the video game adaptation is now adding cast members for the second season, including Barry breakout Anthony Carrigan, who will play a major role.

Via Variety, Carrigan has been cast as Calypso, the enigmatic man behind the Twisted Metal car combat tournament. Calypso dates back to the first Twisted Metal game from 1995, where he offered his contestants their greatest wish if they emerged victorious. However, he almost always added a dark twist when granting those favors to the winners. The show's description of Calypso calls him "the mysterious, charismatic host and creator of a dangerous demolition derby tournament, who invites all assassins, vigilantes, mercenaries and joyriders to participate."

Carrigan is best known for his role as NoHo Hank on HBO's Barry. He has also appeared in Bill & Ted Face the Music and The Blacklist. In the comic book realm, Carrigan played Mist on The Flash TV series, Victor Zsasz in Gotham, and Metamorpho in James Gunn's Superman movie.

Richard de Klerk, Patty Guggenheim, and Tiana Okoye will also join the cast of Twisted Metal Season 2 in currently unrevealed roles. Anthony Mackie, Stephanie Beatriz, Samoa Joe and Will Arnett will also be back.

Twisted Metal Season 2 doesn't currently have a premiere date.
