Sea of Stars has a distinctive visual style influenced by the JRPG hits of the SNES era, but beneath that design, there's an incredible foundation of art supporting it. You've probably seen some of the magical wallpapers or key art for Sea of Stars, retro anime-inspired illustrations done by Bryce Kho. And if you'd like to bring some of that fine art home, you can check out The Art of Sea of Stars, a collection of Kho's fantastical artwork. It'll be available starting July 2 and it's priced at $45 at the moment (down from $50).

The lead concept artist at Sea of Stars developer Sabotage Studio, Kho joined the developer in 2020 and helped bring to life the characters, worlds, lore, and gameplay of Sea of Stars with their vibrant illustrations. This is a rich tome of art, 272 pages bound inside of a hardcover book. The cover on this is especially nice, as it features metallic accents on top of the art of Valere and Zale. It's an eye-catching design and one that will surely stand out on your bookshelf.

If you haven't played Sea of Stars yet and you'd like to try it out, you can also grab a physical version of the game. Put together by the retro specialists at iam8bit, it comes with a double-sided poster featuring the heroes.

"Sea Of Stars is a classic SNES-era turn-based RPG that holds up next to the titans of the era," Jason Fanelli wrote in GameSpot's Sea of Stars review. "There are bits and pieces of those classics scattered throughout this game, but Sea Of Stars doesn't just rest on the laurels of its predecessors. In a crowded year of big-budget AAA releases, Sea Of Stars has an impeccable sense of craft that helps it stand tall alongside them."
