Slitterhead Has One Of The Coolest Day 1 Editions We've Seen, Preorders Live Now
Slitterhead launches November 8 on PlayStation, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
It's been a long time coming, but Slitterhead finally has a release date. The survival horror game will launch on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on November 8--and for those eager to secure their copy early, preorders are available now. At the moment, you can only preorder the game for PS5 at Amazon, but you will get several physical collectibles with your preorder. Plus, unlike many current-gen games, Slitterhead is only $60. We'll update this article with more preorder listings when they are available.
Slitterhead is the latest game from Keiichiro Toyama, creator of the Silent Hill series, and will be the first title from his new development company, Bokeh Game Studio. Slitterhead was first revealed in 2021, and since then, it has been one of the most-anticipated upcoming horror games despite knowing very little about it simply because of the pedigree of its development team.

Slitterhead has a Day 1 physical edition that comes with some cool bonus content. You'll get the official soundtrack on CD, a 100-plus page art book, a sticker sheet, and a custom box. The Day 1 edition is only available while supplies last. These sorts of editions with free content often sell out prior to launch, so we'd recommend locking in your preorder if you're interested in Slitterhead.
Preorder Slitterhead Day 1 Edition
$60
Slitterhead's Day 1 Edition is available to preorder now for $60 at Amazon and Best Buy. As you saw above already, the Day 1 Edition is pretty impressive, especially at its $60 price. It's not uncommon for editions like this to go for $100 (or more).
You can wishlist the digital version of the game on Steam, PSN, and the Xbox Store. It's unclear at this time if the digital version will come with any bonuses.
Thanks to a new Slitterhead trailer shown at Summer Game Fest, fans finally got a taste of gameplay. The trailer showed players wielding melee weapons, guns, and supernatural powers against grotesque monsters stalking neon-soaked city streets. The fast, dodge- and parry-focused combat is certainly a different direction from what Toyama took with the Silent Hill games, but the dark tone and unsettling creature designs are appropriately horrific.

There's still a lot more we don't know about Slitterhead, but with only a few months left before launch, fans won't be waiting much longer. Slitterhead launches on November 8 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Be sure to check out our latest Slitterhead coverage for more about the game.
