Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero releases October 11 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Bandai Namco revealed the date alongside a new trailer during Summer Game Fest. The upcoming fighting game is being developed by Spike Chunsoft and is just one of several Dragon Ball projects in the works for the franchise's 40th anniversary. You can preorder Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero now to get a bonus playable character and early unlocks for a bunch of others.

Dedicated Dragon Ball and fighting game fans may want to spring for the Ultimate Edition, as it comes with the season pass that unlocks all three post-launch DLC packs featuring over 20 playable characters. You'll also get early access to the game starting October 8 and early access to the DLC fighters as well as a bunch of bonus in-game content. Amazon is taking preorders on the Ultimate Edition for both PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is a continuation of Bandai Namco's long-dormant fighting series, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi.

The Bandai Namco Store-exclusive collector's edition comes with a bunch of collectibles, including a cool statue diorama, steelbook case, metallic bookmarks, and even exclusive Dragon Ball: Fusion World cards. Fusion World is a new trading card game that released earlier this year. You can preorder it now for PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. You'll also get all of the Ultimate Edition content listed above.

Characters in Sparking Zero will be able to transform into more powerful forms during combat. The full Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero roster has yet to be revealed, but it appears to be massive. Nearly 50 characters have already been revealed. So far, we've seen numerous versions of Goku, Gohan, Trunks, and Gogeta as well as Piccolo, Krillin, Nappa, Frieza, Kale, Jiren, Videl, and many more fighters. If there's a Dragon Ball character you want to see in the new game, there's a good chance they'll be there.
