The Witcher Season 3 Receives A Mere 2.7 User Score On Metacritic

With the first half of The Witcher Season 3 releasing to Netflix earlier this week, it has already been met with disappointing reviews.

It has been a turbulent few years for The Witcher television series after news that its lead actor Henry Cavill would be getting replaced by Liam Hemsworth.

However, it now seems that the Geralt change-up isn’t the only issue the series is facing.

With one half of season three being released this week, The Witcher is currently sitting at a 2.7 user score on Metacritic.

The Witcher Season 3 Is Falling Flat

June 29 saw the first five episodes of The Witcher season 3 coming to Netflix. With the second batch of episodes due to air on July 27, a lot of viewers are already not looking forward to what comes next.

With season three being Cavill’s last stand as Geralt of Rivia before Hemsworth takes over, it seems as though he is not going out in a blaze of glory.

At the time of writing this article, the current season is at a 2.7 user score on Metacritic. This can be compared to season one receiving a user score of 7.5 and season two sitting at a 3.9.

With the user scores drastically dropping each season, it remains to be seen what will happen when the second half of season three airs.

Complaints

With one user review saying, Lol I love the spoiler alert option THERE IS NO SPOILERS WRITERS SUCK, Gerald is represented perfect but the story SUCKS”, it is safe to say that fans are unhappy.

Others complain about the unimpressive CGI and bad edits whilst others claim the only good part of the show is Henry Cavill. As a result, many are boycotting the show once his final episode airs.

It is a shame to see the show dwindle in popularity since season one but who knows, maybe Liam Hemsworth will save the day.
