Pokimane Says She Is “Good” As She Is And Will Not Move To Kick

In light of many content creators making the move from Twitch to Kick, Pokimane has revealed she won’t be one of them.

It is no secret that Kick is fast becoming a serious rival for Twitch. With news that the service has made a deal with big streaming names such as xQc and Amouranth, it remains to be seen who else will be making the move.

However, for Pokimane, she has no plans on moving to Kick anytime soon.

Pokimane Shuts Down The Idea Of Moving To Kick

During a recent livestream, Pokimane was asked by her chat if she had ever thought about moving to Kick. To start, the streamer simply said “nope” with a shake of her head but she soon revealed her reasons.

This also came after one viewer asked if she would switch platforms if she was offered $10 million. However, this still didn’t seem to tempt the Twitch streamer.

“And it’s not because I’ve got $10 million,” she said. “It’s just because I am good as I am. Why would I compromise my morals and ethics for more money when I have money? Something about that is so cringe to me personally.”

“I understand you know, if you need to make money. For me to do cringe sh*t when I have money, I can’t. Like, ew,” she added.

The Darker Side

However, Pokimane was quick to explain that it wasn’t just about the money but she didn’t want to compromise her morals and ethics. She also used the opportunity to point out that xQc used to gamble and so the move makes sense for him

This refers to the fact that Kick supports gambling on its platform, whereas Twitch banned it back in 2022. Additionally, two of Kick’s founders also founded the online casino, Stake.com in 2017.

Not only that but Kick has come under fire for allowing racist usernames as well as its overall lack of moderation. As a result, fellow Twitch streamer Hasan Piker recently called out Kick allowing sexually explicit content.

Luckily, none of this will affect Pokimane as she seems adamant against leaving Twitch behind. Whether she will or not remains to be seen.
