Elden Ring Player Accidentally Falls To Death After Waving To Another Player

An Elden Ring player accidentally died from waving using the associated gesture while trying to hunt down another player.

Elden Ring FAQ: Every Guide You’ll Need

If we’re being honest, Elden Ring is a comedy game. Yeah we hear you, it’s a Souls game, but first and foremost, it’s funny. Most of the time, dying in Elden Ring will just be something ridiculously silly. An Elden Ring player on Reddit just helped prove that from dying just by waving.

Unlike a lot of games with online components, Elden Ring has no form of voice chat. There’s no way to directly talk to another player. So FromSoftware’s take on that is through gestures. Elden Ring has a big range of gestures to choose from, including the wave gesture. But not all gestures are made equal.

As you can see in the video above, Reddit user alangm0 was hunting an invader in Elden Ring. The two were facing off in Liurnia, and tried to greet each other. Alangm0 hopped up on a wall, and attempted to wave to the other player before they began their fight.

Except when you use the wave gesture, your character takes a small step forward. Which ended up in a very unfortunate death for alangm0. We all know the pain of making a small mistake in Elden Ring. But it doesn’t make it any less funny.

Alangm0 isn’t the only Elden Ring player to be faced with an unlucky situation. Streamer Lacari recently tried to take on one of the hardest bosses in the game. After grinding for hours, he managed to beat the boss; but only the first phase. Not an ideal scenario to be in.
