Castlevania Nocturne is the next chapter in the Castlevania universe and it is arriving later this year. Here’s everything we know so far.
Since the original series ended in 2021, fans have been eagerly awaiting the next chapter in the Castlevania universe. Luckily, they won’t have long to wait thanks to the upcoming arrival of Nocturne.
What To Expect
Nocturne will combine the French Revolution, a Vampire Messiah and a whole new descendant of the Belmont family.
Set in France 1792, the story will see an aristocratic family team up with a monstrous Vampire Messiah who is threatening to “eat the sun.” With them threatening to unleash an army of vampires, it turns to a Caribbean sorceress and a vampire hunter to take them down.
Here is the official synopsis for the Netflix series:
“France, 1792 – the height of the French Revolution. In a remote part of western France, the counter-revolutionary aristocracy has forged an alliance with a terrifying Vampire Messiah, who promises to ‘eat the sun’ and unleash an army of vampires and nightcreatures to crush the revolution and enslave humanity.
Annette, a sorceress from the Caribbean, seeks out Richter Belmont, last descendant of the long-fabled family of vampire hunters, to lead the resistance.”
Castlevania Nocturne Release Date
Fans can look forward to the new series arriving on Netflix on September 28.
If you are unfamiliar with the universe and wish to catch up, you can also find Castlevania on the streaming service.
As much as we loved the previous cast of Alucard, Trevor and Sypha, it will be interesting to see another bunch of characters in the spotlight. However, if we’re lucky, we may just see the immortal Alucard show his face.
The series will be created by Clive Bradley alongside showrunner Kevin Kolde. It will also be produced by Project 51 Productions with services provided by Powerhouse Animation.
