Ben Stiller is Kratos in this hilarious God of War Ragnarok advert. Furthermore, Stiller is joined by John Travolta as well as LeBron James.
This God of War Ragnarok advert in question is all about the family connection. In particular the relationship between Kratos and Atreus. In fact, I think this advert is so much about “family”, it’s a shame that Vin Diesel never got in on the act.
Ben Stiller is the God of War (apparently)
In the advert, Ben Stiller plays Kratos from God of War, and he’s taking the role very seriously. Both John Travolta and LeBron James join Stiller with their children (Ella and Bronny respectively) and hash things out in group therapy. Mr Travolta gets quite emotional as he tries to channel his more sensitive inner Kratos.
Furthermore, it’s quite obvious that Sony would have paid a lot to get this star-studded cast and it seems that those involved are giving it their all. It’s certainly one of my favourite random video game adverts in recent times.
PlayStation tried something different with this advert
Eric Lempel, of the PlayStation global marketing team, explained: “To launch the latest instalment we wanted to take an innovative approach that combined both traditional and non-traditional routes. I challenged our team to come up with new strategies to take this title to the market.”
When is the God of War Ragnarok release date?
God of War Ragnarok will be released on November 9th, 2022 for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. So, in other words, it arrives next week. In related news, God of War Ragnarok spoilers are in the wild. So please, be vigilant.
