MORE SHOWERS AND STORMS TO END THE HOLIDAY WEEK, CONTINUE INTO THE WEEKEND

The last bit of rain from yesterday is clearing out of NW Wisconsin this morning while clear skies are starting to move in from the west. Most of us will enjoy at least partly sunny skies today before scattered showers and storms start popping up in NE Minnesota this afternoon and linger into the evening. Meanwhile, a light lake breeze at 5-10 mph will keep lakeside temperatures in the 60s to low 70s while inland areas reach the mid- to upper 70s.

Lows tonight will be in the mid-50s under partly to mostly clear skies. Patchy fog will develop, but should clear by 8 am.  Tomorrow we will see a bit of a warmup with highs in the upper 70s along with a few places possibly seeing 80 in NW Wisconsin. Scattered non-severe thunderstorms will likely pop up again Saturday afternoon. On and off rain and storm chances continue Sunday and into the first part of next week. Right now, Wednesday and Thursday of next week show signs of rain chances coming to a pause.  Meanwhile, after ending the weekend on a slightly cooler than normal note, temperatures look to return to the upper 70s and low 80s much of next week.
