Cloquet Celebrates Independence Day

CLOQUET, Minn. — While Fourth of July Festivities were happening around the Northland, Cloquet had its own festivities celebrating Independence Day.

The fun kicked off with a parade and races in the morning and it kept on throughout the day as a July 4th Festival was held at Veterans Park.

The festival had helicopters rides, trampolines, slides and food trucks.

One organizer said the fest is a great way for the community to get together and celebrate.

“It’s super rewarding, really just nice to see everybody come out and enjoy what’s going on. And we’re super grateful to all the business and induvials that donated,” said July 4th Co-Coordinator Jana Peterson.

The party in Cloquet will continue on into the night with a firework show taking place a little before 10:30 p.m.
