Bent Paddle Welcomes Two New Collaborative Brews

The Brewery taking a iconic cookies into a drink with a good cause, and supporting women with a brew made by women for women.

DULTUH, Minn. — Some new brews have hit the taproom at Bent Paddle.

For the month of July, Bent Paddle has made a girl scout inspired crowler and growler. The Lemonade American Lager tastes like the scout’s famous Lemonades cookies.

For every crowler or growler sold, it’s $5 that supports local girl scout troops in the northland. Each beverage sold also comes with a complimentary pack of cookies.

“This beer isn’t brewed with the cookies, it’s inspired by the different girl scout cookies,” said Hannah Bourgault, the marketing and content coordinator for Bent Paddle. “So we focus on the lemonade, so the lemon flavored cookies. This is an American Lager with lemon and vanilla and it does a really good job emulating what the lemonade cookies taste like.”

Also new to the taproom is Bent Paddle’s collaborative brew “A Beer of Their Own.” This pale ale was made as a collaborative effort between Bent Paddle and A Bar of Their Own, Minnesota’s first sports bar for women.

“We had a good partnership with Jullian and Megan from A Bar of Their Own for a while,” said Bourgault. “Women supporting women, it’s awesome that they are the first women’s sports bar in the Midwest and it was a super cool collaboration and I’m really happy that it turned out well.”

The easy going pale ale is only available at Bent Paddle’s taproom in Duluth and A Bar of Their Own in the Twin Cities.
