Coffee Conversation: Second Annual Under The Big Top Concert in Ely Benefits Veterans

ELY, Minn. — The Spiritwood Foundation presents the second annual Under The Big Top Concert at Veterans On The Lake on Saturday, July 13 at 7:00 pm.

Pat and Donna Surface from the Spiritwood Foundation joined Fox 21 on the morning newscast Monday to talk about the success of last year’s inaugural event and the hopes for year two.

The concert will feature performances by Monroe Crossing, Pat and Donna Surface & American Pie; Marina Whight and Butch Schmidt, and LaPlant Road; Emily LaPlant and Liz Ashworth.

VIP tickets are $35 and general seating is $25. Proceeds will benefit Veterans On The Lake, and the Spiritwood Foundation’s programs for seniors and veterans.

Veterans on The Lake is a non-profit 501 (c)(3). Their main focus is serving, first and foremost, disabled veterans and their families – followed by our current & retired military and families, and the disabled public & families. They also serve the general public.

The Spiritwood ‘Forget Me Not’ Foundation is an Ely-based 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization committed to supporting organizations that enhance the quality of life of those afflicted with Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of dementia.

Donations to the Spiritwood Foundation fund programs for Veterans Homes and assist other non-profits working in Memory Care.
