Superior Porchfest 2024 Kicks Off

Bringing neighbors together one song at a time, that's the mission of Superior Porchfest and Siggy's Musical Garden

SUPERIOR, Wisc. — It’s that time of year again! The music continued in Superior; Porchfest started Thursday night.

Local musicians Breanne Marie and the Front Porch Sinners, Gina Lee, and Sidestreet Detour took to porches around the North End neighborhood. Breanna Marie and the Front Porch Sinners performed across the street from Phoenix Villa Apartments. Siggy’s Musical Garden Executive Director Cheryl Finkbeiner said that wasn’t a random choice.

“We chose North End because there is a lot of low-income senior housing in this neighborhood,” Finkbeiner said. “So people that don’t always get the opportunity to get out and enjoy music are right here in their backyard.”

Superior Porchfest continues all summer long. The next performances are scheduled for Thursday, July 11 in the Central Park neighborhood.
