Upcoming Free Air Spectacular Show

Air Show

DULUTH, Minn. — A major international event will make its way to the Twin Ports later this summer.

Kern and Kompany announced the upcoming “Air Spectacular”.  The show will feature the Canadian Forces Snowbirds. This will be taking place July 31st. Duluth was chosen as one of the four locations to hold this celebration. This air show is quite a big deal. It is celebrating one hundred years of the Royal Canadian Airforce. The event is free, with hopes to draw in the community.

“It’s just fantastic. Again, I think for a couple reasons. Number one, having seen this in ’08, an airshow out over Lake Superior is a lifetime event. Two, it’s free. So even though we just had the Duluth airshow up at the airport, you know, it’s a ticketed item for our community. It’s one of the reasons the city is an active partner with this.” said Duluth Mayor Roger Reinert.

This show symbolizes the unity between our countries.

“We are thrilled to have been selected and look forward to a continued strong partnership between our city, our region, and Canada.” Kern and Kompany President’s Ryan Kern told us.

The air show itself will be able to be viewed by a large portion of the Duluth city. They recommend viewing the aircrafts by the skyline area, as well as around the lake walk.
