BioShock Fan Remaster in Unreal Engine 5-3

The original BioShock looks incredible in Unreal Engine 5

Former Halo: Infinite developer Kaleb Nekumanesh has shared some cool screenshots and a video. These show what a modern-day remaster of BioShock would look like using Unreal Engine 5. And, as you can tell from the header, they look amazing. So, let’s check it out.

To create this fan remaster, the artist used Megascans and custom Materials/Models/Decals he created. To speed up development, Kaleb also used some Marketplace Assets.

The end result is amazing. This fan remaster has retained the art style of the original BioShock. It also manages to significantly improve its overall quality thanks to UE5.

Now I’m not certain, but I think this fan project uses UE5’s Lumen. Or at least that’s the vibes I got from it. Either way, this BioShock in Unreal Engine 5 project looks glorious.

For those who don’t know, Kaleb Nekumanesh is currently working on a free Halo game. We don’t know when it will be ready, but he plans to release it soon. However, there are no plans to release his BioShock fan remaster to the public.
