Shark Week starts Sunday, July 7th on Discovery and MAX! Get ready to throw the best viewing party with sweet and savory bites that everyone will want to sink their teeth into.

It’s time to get ready for the most ‘jawsome’ week of the year: Shark Week! If you’re anything like us you’ve already started stocking up on viewing party essentials—which makes this the perfect time to start planning your menu.

Whether you’re leaning towards a showstopping shark cake, an entire school of shark-themed cupcakes or savory snacks that everyone will want to sink their teeth into, you’ll find all the recipes you need right here—starting with these fun chocolate-dipped strawberries.

They come together quickly and are easy to make. For the most “sharky” look, we suggest choosing large, stem-on strawberries that are just a bit flat at the tip (versus very pointy). To prevent condensation, refrigerate the little sharks for no more than 2 hours before serving—or chomping!

Shark Pizza

This cute cheese-and-pepperoni shark is fun to put together and perfect for a casual meal or quick project with kids. The pizza will puff in the oven, but you can trim the edges to define the shape of the shark once you move it to a cutting board. To serve it, set the scene by surrounding the shark with an underwater seascape made from veggies like arugula for seaweed and slabs of bell pepper cut into fish or other sea creatures.

Ocean Cookies

These cookies may look like they came from a professional bake shop but topping the cookies with an ocean of color couldn’t be easier: we use a simple sheet-pan swirl technique. And those fins peeking out the top? All you need to make them are some chocolate-peppermint candies and a small round cookie cutter.
