First Expansion for Diablo IV, Vessel Of Hatred, Announced During Xbox Games Showcase 2024

Blizzard had a lot going on at the Xbox Games Showcase today, announcing both the newest expansion for World of Warcraft, The War Within, but also announcing the very first expansion for Diablo IV, entitled Vessel of Hatred.

Earlier today at the Xbox Games Showcase in LA, Blizzard dropped a trailer for the very first expansion for Diablo IV, called Vessel of Hatred, as well as announcing the release date for the expansion.

Set directly after the events of Diablo IV, Vessel of Hatred continues the story following the player’s attempts to save Neyrelle’s soul from Mephisto. Your search for Neyrelle will take you to the new region called Nahantu, an ancient jungle filled with enemies, dungeons, strongholds, and more.

To go with the new region of Nahantu, Vessel of Hatred will also introduce a brand-new character class called Spiritborn. The Spiritborn uses mystical energy from deep in the Nahantu jungles to help defeat whatever terrors are thrown their way.

The Vessel of Hatred expansion will also feature new class skills, paragon boards, Tree of Whispers activities, dungeon types and lots more. New Mercenaries can also join you on your journey to save Neyrelle’s soul. These Mercenaries grow in power the further they progress with you, and they wield unique abilities to aid in combat against the darkness.
