Dragon Age: The Veilguard Revealed During Xbox Showcase 2024

The 2024 edition of the Xbox Games Showcase came in strong with the reveal of the latest title in the Dragon Age series: Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

Ahead of the gameplay reveal scheduled for June 11, developers Bioware gave viewers at home and in person at the Xbox Showcase a first look at some of the characters available in the newest title: Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

Stepping into the boots of a brand-new, fully customizable character Rook, players will link up with a host of companions, each with their own storylines, skill trees, and external motivations. Each of these companions has their very own unique skill set, and players will be able to create different team combos featuring 2 of the 7 companions in the game at a time.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard features some of the deepest companion storylines in Dragon Age history, navigating romance, tragic loss and complex choices that will affect relationships with players and the fate of The Veilguard,” said John Epler, Creative Director of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. “BioWare’s storytelling roots shine through every chapter of this adventure, and we are incredibly excited for Dragon Age fans as well as those new to the series to experience this crafted, character-driven narrative that is so intertwined with our studio’s DNA.”

The Dragon Age: The Veilguard is the fourth entry in the widely successful Dragon Age series and the sequel to Dragon Age: Inquisition. First released in 2009, Dragon Age: Origins received overwhelmingly positive reviews and spawned a now-fourth entry to the series.

With no official release date announced, only a time frame of Fall 2024, players will have to wait until June 11th 2024 for the official gameplay reveal to get more content.
