Behaviour UK – North
Named one of the UK’s Best Places to Work, Behaviour UK – North is one of the brightest stars in its home city of Middlesbrough, Teesside. Since its acquisition by Behaviour in 2023, the studio has grown in both size and stature, working on projects for some of the biggest names in entertainment.
We could brag alright, but we much prefer to laugh, especially at ourselves. We’re in the city that gave us Bob Mortimer, after all.

What's in a day?
For many at Behaviour UK – North, a typical day starts in one of the many surrounding picturesque villages with names like Yarm, Great Ayton, Ingleby Barwick and Norton that dot the country roads of Teesside.
If you’re not working from your village home or some other part of the UK, you’ll work from our swanky studio in the centre of Middlesbrough, a bustling post-industrial city (its skyline inspired Blade Runner!). Middlesbrough is just a short drive from North Sea surfing at Saltburn and the seaside village of Whitby, with its famous ruined cathedral and connections to Dracula.

We like a good challenge, and our days are full of them. Our projects vary widely from one to the next, as do the technical demands. Let’s just say you’ll never get bored – that’s a promise.
Most of our meetings happen in the afternoon since Behaviour’s operations are mainly led out of Montreal, which is five hours behind. Expect focused mornings, and busy afternoons.
Need a break?
All good – everyone gets a generous allotment of paid time off to use as they see fit. We don’t just pay lip service to work-life balance – we live it every day.
The workday ends at 5 p.m. and that means time to go home, or play! Some head off to the pitch to play football (or soccer, as our Canadian friends call it). Board games are another popular after-hours pastime, not to mention a quick pint and a parmo, the local delicacy!
