Behaviour named one of Canada’s Best Workplaces for Women

Behaviour Interactive welcomes our renewed recognition as one of Canada’s Best Workplaces for Women by the Great Place to Work Institute.

Behaviour benefits from a contingent of women contributors that punches well above its weight, and this is even more pronounced at the management and leadership levels. However, we also realize there is still much more work to do to attract women to careers in the video game industry, where they remain underrepresented in several key areas.

As keen as we are to get more women working in games, it matters just as much if not more that the women who are on our team feel valued, respected, and treated fairly for their contributions to our success. On this, Behaviour is honoured to once again be recognized as one of Canada’s 2024 Best Workplaces for Women. To make the list, no less than 90% of respondents to the Institute’s independent Trust Index Survey of our team must agree that people at Behaviour are treated fairly regardless of gender.

“Behaviour is focused on creating a culture of equality and respect with opportunities for all,” says Kalina Morin, Senior VP, People & Culture at Behaviour. “Making this list is a great way to mark International Women’s Day, one that underscores our commitment to ensuring Behaviour walks the talk on inclusion and equity not just on March 8, but year-round.”

Behaviour puts its commitment to equality into action in several ways, including our dedication to pay equity and a healthy work-life balance. In 2022, we launched a comprehensive review of our performance in terms of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), including a detailed survey of our team. Recommendations from this review process are now the focus of a multi-pronged DEI Strategy and Action Plan being implemented with oversight and support from a newly created 10-member DEI Committee.
