Biography

If you’re reading this, then chances are you’ve read one of my books or are considering doing so. Or, maybe you just clicked on a link by mistake while on your way to something more interesting.

Doesn’t matter. Welcome!

So…about me. Yeah…well, you see, it’s like this: Until recently, I was a software developer and analyst, having become a slave to Corporate America after spending eleven years in the U.S. Marine Corps. Why did I join the military? Pretty simple, really. I’d gotten tired of people telling me what to do all the time, and was looking for a change.

Whoops.

In truth, I joined for a handful of different reasons, from carrying on a family tradition to wanting a challenge unlike anything else I’d faced to that point to simpler stuff like just wanting to see the world. I’m proud of my time spent in uniform. I gave Uncle Sam eleven years, and he gave me a long list of skills and experiences that have continued to serve me to this day. I think I got the better end of that deal by a fairly wide margin.

In September 2014, I said goodbye to my day job and embarked on a bold new journey as a full-time writer.

Though I was born and raised in Tampa, Florida, fate and circumstances have seen to it that my family and I now call Kansas City home.

Biography

Steve York is the national best-selling author of over a dozen books and many short stories published in anthologies, magazines, and as Kindle books. In addition to his original fiction, he's written adventures in the worlds of Star Trek, the X-Men, Conan, the Transformers, and MechWarrior.

In his spare time he produces the weekly web-comic "Minions at Work" (www.MinionsAtWork.com)

He's married to fellow-writer Christina F. York (Who also writes mystery as Christy Evans and Christy Fifield), with whom he sometimes collaborates. They live on the Oregon coast with their two cats Sydney and Oz.

Biography

Christina F. York looks at writing like an all-you-can-eat buffet: she has to try a little bit of everything. She has written business and technical non-fiction, erotica, action-adventure, SF, fantasy, romance, YA, and various combinations of all of the above.

She has always loved words, in every form. Her first foray into publishing, as the ten-year-old reporter, editor and publisher of a one-page neighborhood newspaper, lasted only a few weeks. During the enforced retirement that followed, she finished grade school, high school, and college, married, had a couple kids, divorced, re-married, and eventually found her way back to writing.

An Oregon native, Christina has always lived on the West Coast. After growing up in the suburbs of L.A., she spent many years in and around Seattle, moved to Eugene, Oregon, and eventually settled on the rugged Oregon coast, where she can see the ocean from her office window. She shares her home with her husband, writer J. Steven York, and a couple of very spoiled cats.

She is currently at work on a mystery for Berkley Prime Crime (MURDER BUYS A T-SHIRT) and another for Tsunami Ridge Publishing (STRUNG UP). She can be found on Facebook (Christina York), Twitter (@christinafyork and @christymystery), Webpage www.YorkWriters.com, and on her mystery blog (http://www.christymystery.com/).

For decades Kevin Killiany was an actor, drill rig operator, warehouse grunt, photographer, and

paperboy, but in the 1980s found himself drawn into teaching and working with young people. He taught high school, elementary school, and community college before moving into community mental health where he worked crisis intervention, community support, and family preservation services.

Kevin sold his first short story in 2000 and since then has written for Star Trek, Doctor Who, and several role-playing games. In 2011 he became a full time writer and editor, but gradually came to realize that sitting alone in a room arguing with his computer was neither as exciting nor as glamorous as he'd imagined. In 2015 he returned to the college classroom part time as an adjunct English instructor and has found his dream career is a healthy balance of both writing and teaching people who want to write.

Kevin lives with his wife Valerie in Wilmington, on the coast of North Carolina. They have four

children, one recently acquired, and a grandsquiggle named Zoë.
