Solid weight, easy enough to mod, 5/5 on connectivity (love having the wired+wireless options). The board design is very clean and retro, feels sturdy.
I gave a 4/5 mostly based on the layout and ergonomics, for gameplay and modding. Outside of the stick and the 8 push buttons, I felt that the rest of the controls are too far away, awkwardly placed. And with all the mass and space of the board, it is surprising that there isn't much room for the left hand to rest by the stick. You would think that a board this size would still have ample room inside to modify, but the extra plastics supporting the LEDs not only prevent use of screw-in buttons (which are very standard) but get in the way. Personally I detached the button LED components and trimmed the plastic back.
While I have a more custom build in mind ideally, I know that this would cost more than what is given here at a fair price. At least in comparison to the Mayflashes and cheap alternatives on Amazon, this is a very safe buy.
